The ASCE/PES/APWA Holiday Social and Toys for Tots Drive at Malted Barley was a success! We had around 40 people from across ASCE, PES, and APWA in attendance. Here is the final breakdown for the event: 45 toys were collected These were dropped off at the North Smithfield Police Station Toys for Tots drop off location. They will be picked up on December 15th and distributed throughout the state. $545 in donations from attendees were made online to Toys for Tots. A $545 matching donation was made in the names ASCE, PES, and APWA. This brought the total level of support to Toys for Tots to $1090! I would also like to thank PES and APWA for helping plan this event and generating turnout. Frank Marinaccio and Danielle Goudreau were huge helps. “ASCE, PES, and APWA were happy to host last week’s 2022 Holiday Social and Toys for Tots Drive in Providence. Together, we collected 45 toys in addition to raising over $1000 in donations for Toys for Tots. Thank you to our members for turning out to support Toys for Tots and to The Malted Barley for helping coordinate this event.” Thank you everyone!

After a 2 year delay, RI ASCE celebrated its Centennial in grand fashion. On May 11th, members gathered at the Squantum Association for dinner. The nights events included installation of new Section officers, award of our scholarship, and a fascinating presentation by Senior Section advisor L. Robert Smith, P.E.
